Labor Day weekend we headed over to Thomas, West Virginia and stayed at the Fiddler's Roost Inn. We arrived Friday evening just in time to freshen up and grab some grub at the Purple Fiddle next door. One of our very favorite bands, Trent Wagler and the Steel Wheels, was featured that night. They are always a stompin' good time. The next morning we hiked up to Blackwater Falls with our pooch. We saw a wind farm, some free range goats, one million mushrooms and then took a nap under a good ole shade tree. The next morning we awoke to beautiful cool weather. We enjoyed breakfast at the charming and delcious Flying Pigs Cafe.
