Wu Yi Scandal

It has come to my attention that Wu-Yi tea is being advertised as a weight loss aid. I've touted it as my favorite tea, but didn't know that it was used to weight loss. I don't think that it does anything for one's metabolism, but it is one of the most delicious teas out there! I got my first tin of these leaves when I first got married. I've gained about fifteen pounds since my wedding, so I don't think it works! HA HA!

Pass the tea.

Pretty "weak tea" as slanders go! ;o) ha ha

I heard similar rumblings (about additional health bene stuff, not the accusor), but I don't know about that.

For my part, I imagine the drinking of tea (Wu Yi or otherwise) attends a relaxation and decrease in stress, the reduction of which restores homeostatic balance and return to proper functioning of the (blah blah blah medical term stuff).

I may be repeating myself, so once more...for some really interesting reading/listening on the subject of stress, google Robert Sapolsky and look him up in Stanfor's iTunes U.

perhaps because wu-yi is so delicious, people drinking it forget about their worries and forget about over eating. It's a theory that just might work!

Or perhaps there is just some ineffable nifty quality to the drinkers of this tea? ^_^
