A wonderful post and you raise questions that have been on the minds of many.

When this comes up in my brain, I just cut through the mind chatter and get the the spirit of it all. I'm not sure who said it, but maybe it's along the lines of 'all roads lead to Rome'.

I think because we have many miles between the East and West, we only see pieces of it. We have proximity to American Christianity and can see the ugliness in it. Truly the Religious Right isn't doing us any favors. Most of the time people don't "see" Christians who are actually being Christian because they are meek and humble.

One reason many people may find Christians "less spiritual" is because, well, WAR being fought in the name of a Christian God. I never heard of anybody killing for Buddha. It's a matter of hypocrisy.

Obviously I know that not all Christians are violent people, but so many big-named, right-wing Christians have such an uninviting, holier-than-thou attitude.

I see very few people
