i loved amsterdam and thinking of a place and time where the middle class bought much art. i guess i'd like to have such an entryway of dining hall (ours is not quite hall-ish enough yet, tho).<BR/><BR/>i've occasionally wondered about requesting a piece from a grace or sarah or other artist friend, but the idea has not percolated quite long enough. but the brew smells enticing. :o)

The other place I have found original art is in little local shops. There is a record store with some extra space in our part of town and they usually host a show of a local amateur artist. The community theatre usually does the same. <BR/><BR/>There is etsy as well.
